Daycare Philosophy

Our philosophy is to offer a program appropriate to the age of the children that makes each child’s first experience in a daycare setting as enjoyable as possible.

The children will be slowly exposed to the Spanish language through diverse educational and recreational activities. Children will also be taught simple sign language empowering them with another way of communicating their thoughts and needs.

Cognitive, social development, positive reinforcement, creative learning and self- expression are promoted.

Daycare Program

For each activity it is our goal to respect the needs and the rights of every child.

Our program will include free time, arts and crafts, cooperative games, educational activities and story time.

The children will also learn Spanish songs, the alphabet and the names of colours, numbers, and more- all in Spanish.

Daycare Discipline

First and foremost, this daycare facility does not believe in the application of punishment to children, either physical or mental. Secondly, on the first day of enrolment the child is made aware of the daycare rules.

Children are also given direction so they know what to expect from the facility and what is expected of them.

When rules are frequently broken or unacceptable behaviour persists:

- rules will be emphasized by talking to the child and letting them know that their actions and or behaviour is not acceptable.

- the child will be spoken to, so he/she can have the opportunity to express why he/she is acting the way they are.

- together we can come up with an idea that will help the child to deal with his/her behaviour.
